  • Illusion: You are not incorporeal. You aren't even undead. You don't exist at all. You are a projection of light & sound from a corpse-body serving as a Totem, housing a trapped & tortured spirit. If your Totem is destroyed, you revert to being a normal loose spirit.

Ghosts aren't monsters. They're psychic splatters of horrible violent deaths ... or deliberate traps made by unscrupulous magicians. Their manifestation is a shattered vision of whatever transpired.

A ghost is composed of 4 components: The Totem, generally within 30'; the premonition, an emotional or physical flash of warning; the effect, the onset symptoms; and the satiation, a means of ending the effect.

  • Destruction: Destroying the Totem-corpse will end an effect, but place a curse upon the defiler.
  • Holding a Funeral: A Psychopomp Totem will be attracted to the funerary rites; they will handle the ghost.
  • Clever Means: If a Party comes up with an innovative solution to a curse that thematically resolves the ghost's fate, it may be treated as satiation. In this sense, the listed satiations may be considered suggestions rather than iron requirements.
