Glass — the rivers run with ruby-crusted sands! Glass — the water-flows off arching rooftop gutter channels! Glass — gold-white birches paint the land!

People keep drinking to pretend things are okay. Imagine what that’s like. The festivals are dying out & the forest spirits are rioting. The greatest war in all known history is eating the world. Everyone’s a slave, broken, fleeing, joining General Ram, or turning mercenary.

And they’re still here, partying. Because nobody has ever invaded Glass & won. Nobody has ever made finer pottery or jewels. None were ruled by a wiser lord. Nobody was wealthier, or more beautiful — yes, you, slender & porcelain-white & tall, you Men of Glass — the gods themselves crawl in every cup & tree & make themselves your servants—

—and yet, it all burns. Immortal or not, reincarnating or not — the free Men of this island will die with it if they don’t soon learn to fight.

Racial Features

  • Fists (Natural Weapon): 2 Physical.
What makes humans any good?

What humans lack in special qualities (the flight, caving, or swimming of other races) they gain in logistical power. Humans are made for war. They have the best carrying capacity & their base 2 HD means that they can field armies of twice the brute strength of the other races, who only make up for it by their environmental advantages. You can’t challenge a harpy in the air, a salamander underground, or a seasucker in the depths — but you cannot fight an armed human on dry land, & every other race is in some way dependent upon that land.
