Dice & Notation
Glass Empires uses exclusively six-sided dice. We call them d6 dice, where 6 indicates their number of sides. While other systems often use d4, d8, d10, or other polyhedral dice, we stick to six-sided dice for convenience & ease of play.
Besides this, this rulebook uses a couple of other conventions for expressing dice & other notation:
- d66: This means that you should roll two d6s and read them as tens and units (11–66, 36 results).
- @ (stub marker): An @ symbol in the text marks a placeholder — content that is planned but not yet written. Ignore it during play; it will be replaced in a future update.
- X-in-6: Probability expressed as X chances in 6. A 3-in-6 chance is 50%. Roll 1d6; succeed if the result is X or lower.
