Damage Types
Damage may have 1 or more Damage Types. The 7 Types are:
- Acid: Corrosive burns.
- Electric: Powerful electrical currents.
- Ice: Hypothermic exposure.
- Fire: Hyperthermic exposure.
- Mind: Psychic, mental & emotional trauma.
- Physical: Slashing, puncturing, & blunt-force trauma damage.
- Poison: Internal toxins.
If no Damage Type is specified, it is said to be Typeless Damage.
Resistances, Weaknesses, & Immunities
Characters may be Weak, Resistant, or Immune to certain Damage Types.
- Resistance halves all Damage of that Type, rounded down.
- Weakness doubles all Damage of that Type.
- Immunity neutralizes all Damage of a given Type.
If a source of Damage has more than 1 Type (designated with a slash, i.e. “6 Ice/Fire Damage”), the weakest resistance status is always used.
For example, if a character took 6 Ice/Fire Damage & had Ice Resistance while being Weak to Fire, the character would take 12 Fire Damage (instead of taking 3 Ice Damage).
Typeless Damage
Typeless Damage cannot be resisted.
