Lunarian Kingdom
Lunarians are beautiful, intelligent, highly developed, mostly ignorant to the world beyond themselves, & kept in a developmental stasis by their rulers, who have no desire to ever allow the Moon to change in any meaningful way. They are ludicrously elitist towards anyone on the surface world & arguably have the claims to back it up.
Lunarian Royal Family
The Lunarian Royal Family consists of the Lunarian Princess & her direct family. They are all immortal, terrifyingly deadly, & essentially content to stay in their palace.
They have layers & layers of reactive defenses of every sort that can be imagined & many of those that cannot. They have Continuity of Governance protocols that extend back to the creation of the Moon. They have plans for every possible contingency. They are hell-bent on things staying exactly the way they are within their bubble and will brook no competition nor challenge that will disrupt them in any way.
And yet, they have weaknesses.
- Passivity: Most of their defenses are based on passive detection. They make no personal effort to protect themselves.
- Aian Ignorance: They cannot and do not pay attention to most of the Grand Disc. They assume that no meaningful force can or would fly from Aia to the Disc without Lunarian magic/wormholes. They watch wormhole usage closely for intruders, but have no tracking for celestial object entry & exits, in part because birds & some other creatures regularly visit the Moon.
- Novel Magic: It’s very hard to predict the full spectrum of what Aia’s spiritual ecosystem is able to cook up.
Despite this, their ability to deploy deadly troops (albeit somewhat incompetent ones, & in small numbers) to anywhere on Aia instantaneously combined with their enormous magical & technological advantages means that they could freely manipulate the state of Aia on a whim if they chose to do so. (Some say that the Lunarian Princess drove Kain’s wife away in order to drive him from the throne of Glass.)
